Education Qualifications for TOEFL Exam: While ETS does not set any academic qualification as a part of the TOEFL eligibility criteria, candidates who have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board are generally eligible to apply to foreign universities for higher education. This educational qualification can also serve as a TOEFL eligibility requirement for appearing in the TOEFL exam.

IELTS Eligibility 2023

Eligibility for IELTS Exam: The IELTS exam can be taken by individuals of any age, gender, race, nationality, or religion. However, for the IELTS exam in 2023, it is not recommended for candidates under the age of 16.

Age Limit for IELTS Exam: IDP IELTS, the conducting body of the IELTS exam in India, does not impose any age limit for candidates who want to take the exam. However, candidates below the age of 16 are advised against taking the test, although they may still choose to do so.

Qualification for IELTS Exam: There are no specific qualifications required by IDP, the conducting body of the IELTS exam, to be eligible for taking the test. Anyone who wishes to pursue higher studies or work abroad can attempt the IELTS IDP exam, both the Academic and General Training modules. However, candidates should always verify the eligibility criteria set by the educational institution or organization they are applying to.

TOEFL Registration 2023

To register for the TOEFL exam, you have several options: phone, online, mail, or in-person. You can visit the official TOEFL test website to find detailed instructions and guidelines. Registration is open throughout the year, and there are multiple test centers available for your convenience. Before filling out the application, please decide on the exam venue. Please note that online registration can be done up to two days before the test, but registrations made within seven days of the test date will incur a late fee.

TOEFL iBT Registration

If you are in India and wish to register for the TOEFL exam, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit the TOEFL login page and create an online profile.
  2. Pay the exam fee of US$195 (Indian test takers can choose to pay in Indian Rupees based on the current exchange rate).
  3. Online registration on the ETS website is the fastest and easiest method. You can register at any time and on any day.
  4. Make sure to provide your name exactly as it appears on your identification document, preferably your passport.
  5. Payment can be made using a credit or debit card.

How to Apply for TOEFL Exam

  1. Go to the official ETS website and create your profile.
  2. Fill in all the required information, such as your name, address, and email ID.
  3. Ensure that the information you provide matches the details on your passport, as this is crucial.
  4. Select your preferred TOEFL test date and test center.
  5. Confirm your selection.
  6. Proceed to pay the application fee.
  7. Print out the acknowledgement form for future reference.

TOEFL Registration by Phone

If you prefer to register for the TOEFL exam over the phone, please follow these steps:

  1. Review the TOEFL registration form before calling.
  2. Ensure that your name is spelled correctly and matches your passport.
  3. Call the Regional Registration Center at 91-124-4147700.
  4. Follow the instructions to make the payment using a credit or debit card.
  5. Phone registrations are accepted until 5 p.m. local test center time on the business day prior to the test. Registrations made within seven days of the test will incur a late fee of US$40.

TOEFL Registration by Mail

If you prefer to register for the TOEFL exam by mail, please follow these steps:

  1. Download and print the registration form.
  2. Fill out the form, ensuring that your name is spelled exactly as it appears on your identification document.
  3. Send the completed form along with your payment to the address provided on the form or the Gurgaon center address mentioned above.
  4. Make sure to send the form at least four weeks before your desired test date.

IELTS Registration 2023

To register for the IELTS exam, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official IDP IELTS India website.
  2. Log into your IDP IELTS India account.
  3. Select “Register for IELTS” to create your IDP IELTS login.
  4. Choose your preferred test format: computer-delivered IELTS or paper-based (IELTS, IELTS for UKVI, or Life Skills).
  5. Select your desired test type/module: Academic or General Training for IELTS, IELTS for UKVI, A1 and B1 for Life Skills. Ensure careful selection of the module you wish to take.
  6. Pick your preferred test location/city from the available IELTS test centers in India.
  7. You will then see a list of available dates for your preferred choices. Select your desired date and time slot.
  8. Fill in your details and complete the online application. Remember to upload a clear, scanned color copy of your passport to finalize the process.
  9. Pay the IELTS exam fee of INR 16,250.
  10. After booking your test date, you will receive an acknowledgement on your registered email/phone number. For the Speaking test (applicable only for Paper-based IELTS), you can book a slot online on your preferred date and time. If you fail to choose a slot within the given time period, one will be automatically assigned to you.
  11. Keep your passport handy during the registration process and remember to bring it on the test day. If you are below 18 years of age, your parent or guardian should book the test for you. Once your IELTS exam registration is complete, the test center will send a written confirmation with the date and time of your test.

IELTS Exam Dates

The IELTS exam is conducted by IELTS IDP India, the official organization responsible for managing the test. The exam is available multiple times throughout the year. It is recommended that candidates select an IELTS exam date in 2023 that suits their convenience, taking into consideration the timeline for university admissions. TOEFL Exam Dates
